About the Big Red Giving Bag Project
We hope this book has found its way into your home and into your hearts, and will become a cherished Christmas tradition for your family in years to come.
We embarked upon this journey with one simple goal in mind: to teach our own children the importance of giving to others. In a world where it is easy to feel lost and left behind, we find hope in our children – their pure hearts, their inquiring minds, and their free spirits. By instilling in them generosity and kindness, we can build a better future, one fostered by peace and compassion.
Help your child learn the importance of giving with these easy steps!
With your help, we can spread the hope and joy of Christmas farther and wider than ever before!

- Place your once-loved toys in your very own Big Red Giving Bag.
- On Christmas Eve, place your bag under the tree for Santa to find and load onto his sleigh!
- After he fixes your toys back at his workshop, he will deliver them to friends all over the world.
With your help, we can spread the hope and joy of Christmas farther and wider than ever before!

The Creators
DANIELLE, author, left
Dani lives in Charleston, SC with her wonderful husband and two children. She is a primary care physician, providing care to the James Island community. Her love of children’s books, entrepreneurial spirit, and her strong desire to give back to her community inspired this project from the beginning. She hopes your family will find joy in this magical giving tradition! SAMANTHA, illustrator, right Sam also lives in Charleston and is the art teacher at James Island Christian School, getting messy while instructing her beloved students, including all 5 of our children! Outside of the classroom you'll find her running with her german shepherd or hosting adult sip and paint classes. She is delighted you have chosen to join this giving movement! MARTHA, business aficionado and Grams-extraordinaire Martha, better known to our children as “Grams” lives right down the road from Dani and Sam. She is currently retired from several fulfilling careers, including a clinical nurse and a director of marketing and public relations for several health care institutions. She has taken on several roles in her retirement including CEO of Harlan Fine Art, LLC, and perhaps her busiest title yet- Grams! She is the wife, and biggest fan, of Stephen Harlan, our father and master artist, and dog-mom to her spunky cockapoo. She is hopeful this project will settle into your family’s hearts for years to come! |
